Ian was born in Kent, England in 1968. He has always had a passion for painting and studied at the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Rochester,England between 1990-1993.
Working professionally as a painter and illustrator since 1995 he has produced a wide scope of work, from personal projects, exploring themes such as Coyote dreaming, ghosts and leaf biology, to fully illustrated publications of Celtic tales of the Otherworlds.
His illustration projects range from the macarbe (E.A Poe) to children's fairytales, and fantasy fiction, including bookcovers for Marion Zimmer Bradley, Orson Scott Card and Poul Anderson.
